ITV Studios has established relationships with key content buyers and leading creative talent in those markets; and with a combined content library of over 90,000 hours, it is also one of the pre-eminent global distributors.

 

The Role

 

As part of ITV Studios Global Partnerships Brand Licensing team, we are looking for a leader who will be responsible for the execution of the brand and licensing strategy in the Americas. This role also has a strong focus on the US market, covering all local deals as well as global deals with US based partners.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for driving growth of all brand licensing activities across ITVโ€™s portfolio of popular TV brands in the North America and Latam markets, with a strong focus on the US market. Key licensing areas include: consumer products, brand integrations gaming, events & attractions. You will be tasked to meet the annual targets for all these categories as well as developing and maintaining strong relationships with the local ITV labels and other partners in the Americas to maximize revenue opportunities for IP, old and new. Partner with other members of the team to expand existing opportunities.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Contribute to the central positioning of brand licensing within Global Partnerships with a focus on contributing to the business case of the overall content offering.
  • Establish new partnerships for the areas assigned to you to stimulate growth and meet revenue objectives.
  • Maximize commercial exposure through close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., labels, producers).
  • Maintain strong commercial partnerships with existing licensees and agents to ensure that our brands are a priority for them and expand existing deals to other intellectual properties.
  • Continue to maintain strong relationships with broadcasting partners, new and existing licensing partners, as well as local ITV Studios and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor and manage commercial success within BL, reporting to the business and operational teams as needed.
  • Seize opportunities at trade shows, markets, and events to secure new business opportunities, build relationships with partners, and gather market and business insights to share with the team.
  • Update all opportunities, leads, and deals in SalesForce. Maintain a database with new leads and updated contacts for licensees, agents, and other partners.
  • Use marketing expertise to ensure that our partners are promoting and executing their PR and marketing initiatives successfully.
  • Some international travel may be required, willingness to work with European time-zones.

 

Qualifications

 

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a can-do mentality and experience in executing licensing strategies for global brands, with established industry contacts across US and other territories in the Americas.

 

  • Extensive experience (particularly in the US market) in brand licensing popular TV content, with a strong track record of successful licensing partnerships in consumer products and events.
  • Extensive experience in building branded partnerships with advertisers in and around popular TV content (e.g product placement, activations and promotions)ย 
  • Outstanding negotiation, contract management and financial analysis skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – ability to build effective relationships quickly with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Extensive and relevant USAย  (as well as Global) network in the brand licensing and brand integrations space
  • Extensive knowledge of licensing regulations
  • Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions without the need for close supervision
  • Creative thinking and problem solving abilitiesย 
  • Adaptability to a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Ability to manage own workload whilst supervising and helping to prioritize team workload to deliver expected service standards
  • Experience in producing written and verbal presentations to a high standard
  • Strong and demonstrable up-to-date knowledge of developments in the field of marketing, media and sponsorshipsย 
  • Proven and relevant experience in a sponsorship, gaming licensing or brand management role
  • Strong dealmaker and relationship builderย 
  • Output driven
  • Excellent communication skills โ€“ written and verbally

The pay scale for this role is $150,000 to $175,000 with bonus potential, and full benefits including paid time off and 401(k) match. The base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including office location, skills, and experience.
