David George Upped to ITV America President

The Hollywood Reporter

by: Michael O'Connell

ITV America has promoted David George to president. The veteran TV producer and exec, who has served as CEO of Brent Montgomery’s Leftfield Entertainment since the 2015 acquisition made Montgomery ITV America’s CEO, will continue to work with ITVA chief creative officer Adam Sher on development and series.

“To say that David George has been a key player in the evolution and growth of Leftfield — and now ITV America — is an understatement,” said Montgomery, to whom George will continue to report. “He has helped move the company to its next iteration of content across nearly every genre, working especially creatively on innovative projects and deals with Amazon and Netflix, including our recently announced reimagining of the iconic Queer Eye to be produced by ITV Entertainment and our partners at Scout. Most importantly, he is a terrific human being and friend.”

George had been with Leftfield since 2010, first as an executive producer before being named president in 2014. The company grew into the multi-shingle Leftfield Entertainment, now unnecessary under the umbrella of ITV America — it’s being retired with this promotion, though original production company Leftfield Pictures will remain intact.

“It’s rare in our business to step into a job and find a home,” said George. “Leftfield and ITV have created a shop where the sky’s the limit, and if you want to take risks, work hard and think outside the box, it’s an amazing place for a producer, and for an executive. I’m truly honored by this move to ITV America and cannot wait to continue pushing our company forward.”

ITV America is expected to name a new president of Leftfield Pictures soon.
