ITV America, Michael Strahan ink production deal

ITV America has secured an exclusive overall production deal with SMAC Entertainment, the Los Angeles-based prodco owned by NFL Hall of Famer and television personality Michael Strahan and his business partner Constance Schwartz-Morini.

Under the deal, Strahan and Schwartz-Morini will develop a raft of unscripted projects across genres such as reality, competition and documentary under the ITV America banner for broadcast across television, over-the-top and digital platforms.

The pair will work collaboratively with the production labels within ITV Americaโ€™s umbrella, including ITV Entertainment, Leftfield Pictures, Loud TV, Outpost Entertainment, Sirens Media, DiGa, Gurney Productions, High Noon Entertainment and Thinkfactory Media.

SMAC Entertainment is currently working with ITV America on a raft of projects in development or on the air, including Pros vs. Kids, Not for Primetime and the NFL Networkโ€™s Tackle My Ride (Leftfield Pictures); Spark the Future with Wiz Khalifa (ITV Entertainment);and Guinness World Records (with High Noon & ITV Entertainment).

ITV Americaโ€™s chief creative officer Adam Sher and Edward Simpson, EVP of business development and international, helped broker the deal.
